CAEP Receives COLA for 20-21

The 20-21 Governor’s Proposed Budget has included a $12.3M COLA increase (or 2.29%) for the California Adult Education Program (CAEP). This would rebench the CAEP allocation to over $550M for the 20-21 fiscal year. A preliminary budget, by each CAEP consortium, will be out next month. CFADs are due May 2, 2020.

2020 Noncredit MIS Data and Accountability Workshops - Coming to a College Near You!

You asked – we are delivering! In response to requests for a MIS-focused data and accountability workshop, there are five opportunities to attend over the next two months. The purpose of this workshop is to provide CAEP administrators, instructors, researchers and support staff a better understanding of noncredit MIS reporting.

In this webinar, featuring CAEP practitioners from Milpitas USD and San Mateo Adult and Career Education, teaching resources to address census basics (what it is, why it matters, and how to participate) as well as census issues (such as past misuse of census data and what’s different now) will be shared. In addition, examples of program-wide campaigns that energize students and give them an opportunity to practice their leadership and civic skills will be shared.

A list of K12/COE Fiscal Agents and Direct Funded agencies, their entitlements and the apportionment payment schedule for the 2019–20 California Adult Education Program (CAEP) can be viewed on the California Department of Education  CAEP Funding Results web page. The first disbursement of six months has been processed.
