Fraternal Order of Police, Silicon Valley Lodge 52 is dedicated to promoting and protecting members’ rights through strong representation, constantly working towards improving their safety and quality of life. Lodge 52 members work to improve their local community through volunteer support and financial assistance.
Lodge 52 was founded upon a foundation of unity, integrity and leadership. We are an active participant in law enforcement labor issues on the local, state and national levels.

In Your Honor - Rest In Peace
We are heart broken over the sudden loss of Police Officer Chris Zamora from an apparent suicide. Chris had a very distinguished career, and was especially noted for his work within the Gang Detail. We continue to recognize that suicide is a crisis within our profession. Help is available 24/7 for those who are suffering. You are not alone and it is ok to seek help when you are hurting.
In times of crisis, the FOP wants to ensure that each officer has a competent place to turn for help. The Officer Wellness Committee engages in a thorough vetting process of available resources, and has deemed these hotlines vetted and approved for our members.
Rest in Peace
Please keep the Reed family in your thoughts and prayers. We lost one of our strong FOP members to COVID.

Bob Reed served on the Executive Board of Lodge 1, California State Lodge and he also worked for National Labor Services Division as a Labor Specialist.

Bob was someone we could always count on to assist the lodge or lodge members when needed.

HONORING FALLEN OFFICERS
Christmas in the Park
Silicon Valley FOP Lodge 52 honors law enforcement officers and police K-9’s nationwide who have lost their lives protecting the communities they serve. We dedicate a specially decorated Christmas tree honoring our fallen. Custom made etched-glass ornaments with the officers name, agency, and end-of-watch date are inscribed on each one.

Our memorial program includes an inspirational benediction, music, a K-9 special guest, Cub Scout flag ceremony, and a bagpipe procession. Community, government, and business leaders, along with people from all walks of life join together with families and friends of the fallen officers to honor and acknowledge their courage and selfless sacrifice.
Former Lodge 52 President, Bobby Lopez (SJPD, ret.), envisioned this memorial a few years ago and we proudly continue this annual tribute.

A Seminar for FOP Local & State Lodge Leaders

SEMINAR FEATURES:
A full three (3) days of training, beginning on Thursday, February 3rd. All seminar materials will be provided on a flash drive. A link for an online version of the materials will be provided if you want to bring a laptop or tablet. A portfolio and pen will be provided for taking notes during classes.
 
Expanded training in membership procedures for lodge secretaries, with hands-on applications, will be available Thursday and Friday. This is an open session, available all day, and secretaries are encouraged to stop by when they have a chance.
 
Tours of the National FOP Headquarters will be available. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes and stop by while you are here.
 
FOP Merchandise will be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday during seminar hours.

COST:
The seminar fee is $400 per person.
 
A lodge paying for three (3) or more attendees at the same time is eligible for a discount of $25 per attendee. All registrations and payment must be turned in at the same time to be eligible for the discount - no exceptions.
 
The deadline for registration is January 10, 2022. No refunds will be given after this date.
