Camp Brantwood (10 Weeks)
We are thrilled to offer 10 weeks of fun, friendship and unforgettable memories again at Camp Brantwood this summer! Our younger campers ages 4 to 6 years old will enjoy weekly themed camps, including Time Travellers, Ocean Explorer and Halloween in July camp!
Our campers ages 7 to 12 years old will enjoy themed camps, as well as our popular canoe and bike camps. Please read our canoe camp prerequisites in our Summer Camp Guide in advance of registration.
Camp Old Town Hall (2 Weeks)
Adventurous campers ages 10 to 13 years old will enjoy the ultimate outdoor experience with our Trailblazers Bike & Activity Camp and Trailblazers Bike & Canoe Camp! Offered the weeks of July 6 and August 10, respectively, our Old Town Hall campers will gain confidence, learn valuable skills and create unforgettable memories.

Feb 13 PA Day Camp

Get ready for non-stop fun next Friday at Brantwood Park Fieldhouse! The theme is: Happy Valentine's Day! With themed crafts, activities and outdoor play, it's the perfect way to spend a PA Day!
Time: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Pricing: $55.00/day
Extended Care is offered from 4:00pm - 5:30pm. Please register for Extended Care in advance.

March Break Camp
Join us at the Brantwood Park Fieldhouse for an unforgettable March Break Camp! Children aged 4 - 12 will dive into a week filled with creativity, adventure and fun activities that spark excitement and build friendships.
We will take advantage of whatever the winter weather provides for us this March Break! We will skate if we can, snowshoe, cross-country ski, sled, build snow forts and structures, get outside and have fun!
Dates: Monday March 16 - Friday March 20, 2026
Time: 8:45am to 4:00pm
Pricing: $285.00/week

CAG Tuesday Toddler Playgroup
Warm up from the chilly winter weather and play at CAG's Tuesday Toddler playgroup at Brantwood Park Fieldhouse! Drop-in for just $5!
During this weekly meet-up, CAG staff will facilitate crafts, sensory play, music and more for children ages 0 - 4 years old. Coffee and tea will be provided, and parents and caregivers will have the chance to get to know one another.

The Old Ottawa East Community Association's February 2026 meeting will take place on Tuesday Feb 10, in person at Old Town Hall (61 Main Street).
Everyone is welcome and you do not need to be a member of the OOECA to participate. Meeting materials will be shared the day of, and the meeting will take place on the ground floor of Old Town Hall, which is fully accessible.

Join in on the annual tradition where Capital Ward residents join community teams to compete in a friendly game of shinny for the Capital Ward Cup. This year the Old Ottawa East Hosers will be defending their title at Windsor Park on February 14, with festivities starting at 10:00am.

Winterlude has returned this year with amazing ice sculptures, snow slides, ferris wheel, live music and other free outdoor activities! Until Monday Feb 16, 2026 you can enjoy the festivities at two official sites of Confederation Park and the north section of Jacques-Cartier Park.
Plus, the Winterlude Sno-bus will be offering free shuttle service on the weekends and Family Day Monday (Feb 16). Find details on the two circuits and service schedules here.

February is Black History Month, and Canada's 2026 theme for the month is "30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations - From Nation Builders to Tomorrow's Visionaries".
This year, Black History Ottawa is celebrating their 40th year of coordinating and presenting activities that celebrate Black History Month here in Ottawa. They also have an events calendar for Black History Month on their website, available here.
This month, the National Arts Centre (NAC) is showcasing performances, workshops and discussions this month to honour and engage with Black art and narratives. They also have a Black History Month event calendar, available here.

From December 30, 2025 to February 28, 2026, the City of Ottawa invites you to help shape the future public engagement in Ottawa. You have the opportunity to review the proposed updated engagement strategy and workbook, and share your thoughts through the survey linked below.
Once the consultation period ends, the results will be analyzed and a released What We Learn report will summarize their learnings and provide insights to next steps.

On Friday Feb 6, 2026, celebrate Family Literacy Day 2026 at Sunnyside Library with Canadian author and illustrator Barbara Reid! Barbara's virtual presentation is a demonstration on how to use clay to create a picture. The event is pre-recorded and an in-branch program, staff will lead the group in following along to create our own works of art using clay.
This event will start at 4:00pm and all material will be provided. This event is ideal for families with children ages 6 - 12. Register at here.
