Camp Old Town Hall
Looking for a fun, fabulous and welcoming camp this summer? Whether campers are looking to blast off on an adventure, or inspire their creativity, Camp Old Town Hall is running 3 awesome weeks of camp and registration is still open for campers age 9 - 13!
| | | |
Weeks: July 7 - 11, July 21 - 25
Camp activities will feature biking and a beach day at Mooney's Bay, including beach volleyball, a sand-castle competition, swimming and more! Plus, a visit to the beautiful Hog's Back Falls.
What better way to explore than a city-wide bike scavenger hunt!
Stops will include Old Town Hall, the Arboretum, the Ornamental Gardens, the Experimental Farm, Carlington Park Bike Pump Track, Brantwood Park and Windsor Park and it'll end with a delicious reward (ice cream)!
| | | |
Week: Aug 5 - 8 (4 days)
Campers will enjoy a week of discovering new techniques and mediums to express their unique ideas, including cooking, painting, solar photography, baking, sculpting and gnome making!
Get ready to beat to the sound of your own drum - literally! Campers will design and build their very own working drum using simple materials and loads of imagination. Whether you're a rhythm master or here for crafting fun, this is all about self-expression, teamwork and getting a little noisy (in the best way)!

Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are crucial to the success of our BBQs, plus it's a great way to give back to your Old Ottawa East community. Volunteer duties include prepping toppings (tomatoes, lettuce, onion), working the cash, set-up/clean up and of course, grilling on the BBQs! Children are more than welcome to help out, except for grilling on the bbq, which requires an adult volunteer.
| | | We are excited to announce a new partnership between CAG's Afterschool Program at the Brantwood Fieldhouse and the Children's Garden! | | |
Throughout Spring, our after-school kids are rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty in a weekly gardening program at the Children's garden, led by Brett, a volunteer with the Children's Garden, who works closely with Earth Path and Growing Up Organic.
We are so happy to be able to add a great hands-on experience in planting, composting and exploring the environment through gardening to our after-school program. We hope it will encourage the kids to have a deeper connection to nature and our community!
