Paddle, Pedal, and Push Your Limits!


Camp Old Town Hall is proud to present a brand-new camp this summer, designed for active, adventurous kids who love exploring the great outdoors, buildings skills and taking on new challenges. Running the weeks of July 7 and July 21 and open to campers 9 to 13 years old, Trailblazers Activity Camp will be full of unforgettable adventures!


Camp activities will feature biking and a beach day at Mooney's Bay, including beach volleyball, a sand-castle competition, swimming and more! Plus, a visit to the beautiful Hog's Back Falls.


And what better way to explore than a city-wide bike scavenger hunt! Stops will include Old Town Hall, the Arboretum, the Ornamental Gardens, the Experimental Farm, Carlington Park Bike Pump Track, Brantwood Park and Windsor Park and it'll end with a delicious reward (ice cream)!

Better Body Bootcamp


Late Spring Registration Open Now!


Dates: Tuesday May 20th - Monday June 30th


You can join a fresh fitness adventure starting Tuesday May 20th, with the knowledgeable Katie Ireland guiding you through invigorating, women-only training sessions!

Better Body Bootcamp's holistic approach integrates functional movement, coordination drills, agility exercises, cardiovascular and resistance training, core strengthening, and postural alignment. In-person bootcamp classes move outside this session, next to Brantwood Park Fieldhouse, so you can enjoy the fresh air as you stay active!


No matter your fitness level, all workouts are tailored to accommodate everyone, ensuring you progress towards your goals with confidence!

Seniors Social: Puzzle Exchange

CAG's Senior Social will be hosting a puzzle exchange this Friday May 16!


Bring a puzzle you'd like to trade, and in return you'll go home with a new puzzle to enjoy!


We will also be starting a 1,000 piece puzzle, join us at Brantwood to help work on it!


From 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Brantwood Park Fieldhouse (39 Onslow Crescent). No registration necessary, coffee and tea will also be available.

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend Water Station

CAG will be hosting a water station as part of the 2025 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, and we need your help!


Volunteer Duties: Helping to prepare and hand out water and electrolyte replacement to race participants, and clean-up


When: Morning of Sunday, May 25, during the Marathon and Half-Marathon


Where: Colonel By and Concord Street North by 79 Echo Drive - See it on Google Maps here


No experience needed and it's a great way for high school students to fulfill their volunteer hours!

Everyone is welcome, volunteers under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteer t-shirts, hats and snacks will be provided!


Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! We still need about 15 more volunteers to help make this event a success, so please consider joining us on May 25!

Mothercraft Ottawa's Sensory Playtime

Did You Know?


CAG hosts Mothercraft Ottawa's Sensory Playtime at Brantwood Park Fieldhouse once a month!


Mothercraft Sensory Playtime engages your toddler in developmental activities that focus on touch, sight and hearing. The last two playgroups until Fall 2025 are Monday May 26 and Monday June 16.

Sensory Playtime typically runs the third Monday of every month at Brantwood Park Fieldhouse (39 Onslow Crescent) from September to June. Children age 0 - 6 years old can drop in from 10:00am to 11:30am. There is no cost and no registration for this playgroup, and coffee/tea are provided by CAG.

Main Street Farmer's Market Returns on Saturday!

Returning to Grande Allée Park this Saturday May 17, visit the Main Street Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 9am - 2pm and shop for amazing seasonal produce, meats, dairy, baked goods and so much more!

State of Capital Ward & 2026 City Budget Discussion

On Wednesday May 21, Councillor Shawn Menard and the Capital Ward team will be hosting the State of Capital Ward and 2026 City Budget Discussion. This is your chance to share your priorities for Capital Ward and the City's 2026 Budget!


The event will take place both online and at Saint Paul University - Multipurpose Room (110 Hazel Street), from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Capacity is limited to 150 people in person, all other attendees can participate online via Zoom. Snacks and light refreshments will be available to those attending in-person.

Take a look at the Ottawa Public Library: Sunnyside Branch events calendar to see their upcoming kid, adult, and family-friendly programming for the next two weeks!

Italian Movie Night with the Dante Alighieri Society

Each month a different movie by an Italian director is presented at the Sunnyside branch, as part of a collaboration between the Ottawa Public Library and the Dante Alighieri Society.


You can drop in next Tuesday May 20 at 6:00pm to watch "A Chiara", films will be played with English subtitles.
