Engaging Senior Residents During a Pandemic
Over the past few months, CAHEC has been reaching out to our partners to see how they've been engaging with residents, and with seniors being among the most vulnerable during the current pandemic, site managers are having to come up with creative ways to safely interact with them. We've heard a lot of great ideas and thought we'd compile a list to share with our network in case others needed suggestions. If you have ideas that are not listed, please reach out to Stefanie Lee at [email protected] and she will continue to update the list.

Door Decorating Contest: Decide on a theme (whether it's an upcoming holiday or to celebrate a season) and have residents get creative by decorating their doors! Site managers and their maintenance staff can select a winner and give a prize to their favorite participant. Prizes could range from a grocery store gift card or a free dinner, to a gift basket with comforting goodies.

New Faces at CAHEC
We're excited to announce three new members of the CAHEC organization!

Garrett Cobb (pictured left) started at CAHEC in June as an Information Systems Specialist. He brings a broad knowledge of information technology and is experienced in the systems CAHEC already has in place. We're thrilled to have him as part of the Finance & Operations team.

Natalie Swanson (pictured middle) started at CAHEC as an Acquisitions intern in February. Since then, Natalie has graduated with her master's in City and Regional Planning and as of May, has officially joined the team as an Acquisitions Analyst. Natalie is a strong housing advocate who is already familiar with CAHEC, and we're sure she will be an amazing addition to the Acquisitions & Risk Management department.

Chalisa Williams (pictured right) joined CAHEC in June as an Asset Manager. She has extensive experience in property and asset management, and her skills at preparing, analyzing, and reconciling balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements will serve her well in her new role. We're so excited to have her join the Asset Management department.
