If
you work in the affordable housing industry, it's easy to become invested in the properties you build. You get caught up in the thrill of providing a new home to a deserving family and witness the positive impact the property will have on the surrounding community. For Tim Morgan, Vice President of Evergreen Construction Company, all these elements play a big role in keeping him motivated to keep going.
"I really enjoy the work I do and like to see it all come together from start to finish. Since Evergreen Construction Company develops, builds, and manages our properties, we are involved throughout the entire process." Tim started working in affordable housing in 1987 and has spent his career serving on various boards and committees - including one of CAHEC's advisory committees. In addition to his local industry work, he often travels to Washington D.C. to advocate for affordable housing.
After joining Evergreen Construction Company in 1994, he helped grow their portfolio to 43 properties. CAHEC is a proud partner on 24 of them. "Our experience with CAHEC has been a good one, even going all the way back to 2000 when we did our first deal."

Mission in Action
|
- The CAHEC Foundation is partnering with the North Carolina Bankers Association Foundation's Camp Challenge to offer a week long summer camp experience to middle school students in our footprint. This camp - provided at no cost to families - offers students a variety of traditional camp activities as well as an interactive financial literacy course. - Planning for the 2018 CAHEC Partner's Conference is underway! Registration and hotel room blocks will officially open on Monday, March 5, so be on the lookout for those details early next month.
