We wanted to share an opportunity to support one of our own, Jason Obssuth of Mill Brothers Outdoor Living. Earlier this spring, Jason's son, Dale Obssuth, was in a serious collision between his motorcycle and a pickup truck on E. Prospect Rd. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with severe injuries after having a tree branch travel through his pelvis into his abdomen. He has had multiple surgeries already to stabilize bleeding, remove foreign debris, and to try and repair some of the damage done to his pelvis and internal organs. Dale will need several surgeries and care going forward to help repair his injuries. Please send all your positive energy, well wishes, and prayers to Dale and his family. Any donation is greatly appreciated to help the family through this difficult time.

Here is a quick summary of the most recent meeting regarding the exemption for certified cross-connection control technicians. Individuals with this certification can provide their certificate to the plumbing board, if they receive any complaint notices, between now and April 1, 2025. Essentially, if you are a certified cross-connection control technician, you can continue to operate as usual. However, you may still receive notices from DORA, and you will need to prove your certification to avoid further action by the board

How this will impact commercial operators in non-government agency properties will be discussed starting in December. We urge you to be involved in how that decision is handled.

As the vibrant hues of summer begin to fade, the fall season presents a crucial window of opportunity for lawn care and landscape management. While the cooler weather may signal the end of the growing season, it’s actually the perfect time to prepare your landscape for the challenges of winter and set the stage for a thriving spring.

The end of summer – temperatures starting to get (hopefully) more bearable, school getting back in session, and the slow transition into fall services. And, in the context of this article, the peak flight of Monochamus spp. in Colorado, or Pine Sawyer beetles – the vector for the dreaded Pine Wilt disease.

“Your Last Service Killed My Lawn”

By: Dr. Brad DeBels, Vice President of Operations | WeedMan

Since the inception of lawn care, homeowners have consistently uttered the above phrase on a hot-tempered call to our customer service team. For those of you that have been in the lawn care industry a while, there may have even been some truth to that statement a few times, none of us are infallible.
