Genentech – Focused and Deliberate about Developing Talent and Leaders
The 2018 Leadership California Corporate Award, which recognizes a company that has demonstrated support for the inclusion of women on its boards and in its executive suites and has supported Leadership California, goes to Genentech. As one of the leading biotechnology companies in the industry, Genentech is a member of the Roche Group and has been discovering, developing, manufacturing and commercializing medicines to treat patients for more than 40 years. Two women who are role models at Genentech are Vice President of HER2 Franchise Liz Homans, who has been with Genentech for 11 years and Vice President, Avastin, Tarceva, Alecensa & LGI Sales Teresa Graham, who has been with Genentech for 13 years. Teresa also is a founding officer of the Genentech Women Professionals (GWP) group and currently serves as Deputy Chair, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Pacific Regional Council. Leadership California sat down to learn more about how Genentech became a leading biotechnology company.
