Theme: Artists should visualize their aspirations for queer/trans liberation—exploring the worlds, relationships, and communities possible with unapologetic acceptance of intersectional identities.
We invite submissions of 2D artwork, including paintings, drawings, photography, and printmaking. All submissions adherent to our guidelines and theme will be featured in a virtual gallery for a month. The top three artists will receive stipends.
“Art has always been a powerful tool for expression, social change, and resistance for queer and trans people of color,” says Edric Figueroa the director of Zero Campaigns. “By providing a platform for Latine youth artists to share their imaginations and hopes for the future, we aim to inspire and empower a bolder future.”
The art call is open to all trans and gender non-conforming Latine individuals residing in the United States and its territories. Our submission platform will open on October 1st and remain live for a month. Prizes will be available for the top 3 rated submissions.
The top three artists will receive the follow prizes:
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $150
