Spring 2018 CALL UPDATE

A good start to 2018... As April brings us into spring, we find ourselves well into a year that proming to be very busy. Thanks to the success of our year-end appeal, we have a season full of programs to help make sustainability tangible through the arts here in New York City. From an Earth Day launch of Bob Braine's Estuary Tattoos at Car-Free Earth Day to artist-led workshops stretching along the Broadway corridor from Chinatown to the Bronx to the next Fellows Forum in June, we'll be imagining sustainable futures with dozens of artists and experts as well as hundreds of members of the public. Walking Tibbetts Brook November 2017 & January 2018 Our journey to envision the future of the Bronx with a restored Tibbetts Brook continued with two walks along the proposed course for daylighting the Brook. Read all about it on our blog. These walks are helping to build momentum for our efforts and will be followed this spring with artist projects by SLO Architecture and Bob Braine. January Fellows Forum: Designing Emergency Preparedness January 12th kicked off our 2018 Fellows Program with a forum examining design and emergency preparedness in West Harlem. GET OUT THE VOTE! 4/7-4/15 Calling all residents of NYC's district 7: CALL's Project in West Harlemis enrolled in the Participatory Budgeting Campaign. We need a many votes as possible to win funding to build our HUB in the Manattanville Houses. We'll also need volunteers to help us get out the vote in the coming week, especially NEXT Saturday April 14th to promote the vote in Manhattanville Volunteer to Help!
