Families rely on strong, coordinated federal leadership to ensure students with disabilities receive the education and support they deserve. The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services (OSERS) plays a critical role in protecting those rights. Moving OSERS out of the U.S. Department of Education would create uncertainty, weaken oversight, and put students' futures at risk.
Why keeping OSERS at ED Matters:
- Protects IDEA and disability rights
- Keeps education oversight connected
- Supports students from early childhood through adulthood
