It's our anniversary!
The Center for Alternative Law and Mediation is four years old this Fall, and we're celebrating with an Open House this coming Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at our Palmdale offices located at 1008 West Avenue M-14, Suite A, Palmdale 93551.
We've planned refreshment, entertainment, prizes and surprises we think visitors will enjoy.
If you're in town, why not drop in between errands and learn what CALM has accomplished during the past four years via several streaming video albums, plus conversations with some of our mediators, board members, volunteers, and people we've served. Free confidential consultations about resolving your or a friend or family member's dispute or conflict will be available as well.
And if you're afar or can't get here due to prior engagements, please, please consider sending a modest contribution to sustain our efforts!
We invite you to find out more about the CALM vision and why we rely on private support from individuals like you, especially now as we enter our fifth year in the Antelope valley.
Unlike years past, before we acquired our own offices (thank all of you for making that possible), this year we celebrate modestly - without the expensive hoopla - in order to marshal the resources you give us to further develop and support our infrastructure, get the word out to a wider audience through a media campaign, and to bring you programs that entertain while teaching about conflict resolution though the arts.
Please give modestly or generously to help:
-offer regular and late office hours to keep our services available on a walk-in basis
-provide free and low-cost mediation services and consultations to those that qualify
- host trainings, workshops and social networking events
-lead mediator certification trainings and award ceremonies
-expand our Peace through the Arts events
-handle expenses including software, postage, office space
-keep our 24-hour phone inquiry hotline open
Make your tax-deductible contribution
today as we start our season of rebuilding and expansion. CALM works only with the assistance of our supporters like you. Please share this request and give generously - and you can even give frequently.
We look forward to reuniting Saturday with our friends, our supporters and those interested in learning what CALM does and can continue to do.
Again, instead of asking our friends to purchase tickets, instead of our board members volunteering to put up funds for catering a large-scale event, we're asking you here to offer your tax-deductible contribution
to CALM today. We will put it where it will do the most good.
Help us transform the Antelope Valley into a peaceful and CALM place to work and live.
