Welcome March!

The birth flower of March is the daffodil. Daffodils are some of the first flowers we see in springtime and are a great indicator that winter is over. Because of this, they are seen to represent rebirth and new beginnings.

CALS TF Workshops

We successfully completed our 1st CALS Workshop!

It was wonderful to catch up with our TFs.

To keep all our Training Faculty (TFs) up to date, CALS will be requiring attendance annually at one of our monthly TF Workshops. **Please note this is for TFs only.

  • Come hear the latest and greatest information.
  • Ask questions, share thoughts, & take part in round table discussions

Workshops will be the 1st Tuesday @ 9am of each month starting in March. This will be held via Zoom.

**Sign up on the CALS Website under Training Tab:

***If you have attended the workshop we'd love your feedback!

My instructor status is current, why was I unaligned?

You may have instructors being unaligned that are not expired. Their unalignment occurred because they never claimed their instructor card.

Assure your email is up to date. You must notify CALS and update your ATLAS profile if you have a change to your email address.

CLAIM your eCards!

If you do not claim your instructor eCards, you will be UNALIGNED in ATLAS!!! Instructors must claim their eCards to be a valid instructor!

YOU MUST TEACH 4 CLASSES IN 2 YEARS to meet AHA requirements for renewals. We've had several instructors attempt to renew with less than 4 classes.

DO NOT LET YOUR INSTRUCTOR CERT EXPIRE!

On the first day of the next month, if a Primary Aligned Instructor’s eCard has not been renewed, the eCard will expire, and the primary alignment is deleted.

ONCE EXPIRED AHA requires the individual to repeat the entire process, including the Instructor Essentials online and in-person courses, to become an Instructor.

** Please note it is the instructors' responsibility to know when they expire

BLS Advisor Cert

BLS Advisor is an option for candidates who are physically unable to perform the skills of CPR but can communicate and advise another person on how to perform the skills of CPR and use an AED while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.
