Funding Deadline: Traffic Safety Grants
OTS is still accepting grant applications for FFY 2027 for projects that seek to prevent serious injury and death resulting from motor vehicle crashes.
Eligible applications should relate to one of ten priority funding areas and be supported by local crash data that demonstrates a need for funding.

Funding Deadline: TTPSF Grants
FHWA is still accepting applications for the 2025 Tribal Transportation Program Safety Fund (TTPSF).
Eligible Projects Include:
- Develop & update transportation safety plans
- Safety data assessment, improvement, & analysis
- Systemic roadway departure countermeasures
- Infrastructure improvements, other listed activities (23 U.S.C. 148(a)(4))
The grant application deadline is January 15, 2026
