APWA Sacramento is hosting an informative presentation at the Dante Event Center on the upcoming 2026 SACOG Federal Funding Cycle.

Training: Strengthening Your BUILD Application

The Safety Navigator for California Communities (SNCC) at Cal Poly is hosting a free webinar for California’s LPAs, Tribes, MPOs, and RTPAs preparing applications for FY2026 BUILD Grants.


The session focuses on how applicants can strengthen their submissions in the final weeks by aligning project narratives with the updated BUILD merit criteria of safety, quality of life, mobility, community connectivity, and economic competitiveness, as well as effectively addressing state of good repair, partnership and collaboration, and innovation.

Funding Deadline: LMFP Rebates


Apply by the January 30th deadline to receive SCAG Last Mile Freight Program (LMFP) Battery-Electric Rebates.


LMFP is a regional SCAG initiative developed through multi-agency partners to accelerate the transition to zero-emission and near-zero emission freight transportation in Southern California.


LMFP rebates are available to fleet owners and operators of commercial non-passenger vehicles engaged in freight operations, including last-mile delivery operators, freight forwarders, other logistics companies.

Funding Deadline: REAP 2.0 Grants


SCAG is still accepting applications for Regional Early Action Planning Grants (REAP) 2.0-funded Lasting Affordability Program. With $20M available, this competitive opportunity supports established housing trust funds and catalyst funds with innovative, ready-to-launch financing programs.

Policy Update: Caltrans LAPM & LAPG


Caltrans DLA has released 2026 editions of two essential policy documents that can help you streamline transportation projects and maximize funding opportunities.


The Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM) describes the processes, procedures, documents, authorizations, approvals, and certifications required for California LPAs to receive federal-aid and/or state funds for transportation projects, while the Local Assistance Program Guidelines (LAPG) describe project eligibility, project selection process, funding levels, and relevant statutory references for various federal and state programs.
