CAM's July Golf Outing Supports the Don Purdie Memorial Foundation
CAM's July golf outing, the Don Purdie Memorial Classic, is named in honor of Mr. Don Purdie, a long-time member and supporter of CAM, past CAM Board Member, and Secretary of the Construction Federal Credit Union. Purdie worked for Detroit Elevator Company for nearly 40 years and became sole stockholder and president. We honor Purdie's memory with a scholarship in his name for a deserving construction management student at Ferris State University's.Construction Management Program.

Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and any donations collected at this outing go toward the scholarship. This year, we thank two special people for donating their outing winnings to the fund: Jennefer Scherr of Ino-Tek, and Tom Stackpoole from D.C. Byers. EMAIL US > if you would like to donate to this important cause. CLICK HERE > to view photos from the outing.

Navigating the Impact of Climate Change on New Construction
On Monday, July 3rd, planet Earth experienced the hottest average global temperature in recorded history, according to two climate tracking agencies. Some scientists estimate that this record is the warmest in at least 100,000 years. Climate change is already influencing how new construction projects are planned, designed, and built, and it will continue to be a critical consideration in the future. Adapting to the impacts of climate change in new construction is essential to ensure the resilience, sustainability, and long-term success of buildings in a changing climate.
