Please note that regular CAMA members who are attending their first CAMA Conference are eligible for a $150.00 discount off the registration fee. If you would like some of your senior managers to attend the Conference and they are not CAMA members they can sign up for $155.00 (50% off the first year) and also attend the Conference for $575.00 as a First Time Delegate.

Delegate Portals to register at a later date. If you are not sure at the time of registration what Pre-Conference Activity or Study Tour you would like to attend, if your Companion will be attending, or if you want to play golf or need to add clubs, etc.? No problem. Individual Delegate portals will give you the chance to add these things at a later date. When you receive your delegate registration receipt, you will be assigned a portal username which is your e-mail address, a password, and a link to the delegate portal. You will be able to go in and click on this link at any time and register for other activities.

CAMA member Oxford County, a two-tier municipal government made up of eight area municipalities, contacted Mohawk College Enterprise (CAMA Business Partner) to develop a leadership development program. The goals of this program were to create a customized program that incorporated internal competencies, values and practices; develop succession planning through leadership development due to an aging workforce; increase engagement in response to results from employee engagement surveys; break down departmental silos; and boost employee attraction and attention. In addition to CAMA's new Performance Evaluation “Guide for the CAO” and a “Guide for the Mayor & Council” did you know that CAMA also has an evaluation template for your direct reports?

It is equally important for the CAO/City Manager to conduct a performance evaluation review for direct reports (Directors/Commissioners/Chiefs/Department Heads). Following are some examples for your use:

A Performance Evaluation Review template  to be completed by the CAO/City Manager and the employee and reviewed during the performance evaluation.

Mandate Letter that the CAO/City Manager can provide to each direct report each year at their performance evaluation. This outlines the expectations for all Departments and also lists some specific expectations for each Department.  The sample provided is for the Corporate Services Department.

Visit the CAMA website for more information on all of our performance management tools.
