Looking for a week with good availability? Come kick off Summer 2017 with us by coming week 1, with chapel services led by Dr. Tony Evans and Dr. Rex Keener. Dr. Evans is currently the Senior Pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and the president of The Urban Alternative. His daily radio broadcast, The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans, can be heard on nearly 1,000 outlets daily throughout the United States and in more than 130 countries.
Dr. Keener is the Founding and Senior Pastor of Grace Fellowship Church. After attending Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and serving as a coordinator of counseling and follow-up with the Billy Graham team, he was led to New York's Capital Region to plant a church. He, his wife Debbie, and four other couples then launched Grace Fellowship Church.

, and sunsets from the Tee Pee. Staff enjoy these things and more all summer long, and end the summer with memories of friends and the spiritual enrichment that happens at CAMP-of-the-WOODS.

Merry Christmas from CAMP-of-the-WOODS!

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)
This may be one of the most familiar Old Testament prophecies about the birth of Christ. Chances are you either sing it or hear it many times every Christmas season. But how often do we think about the rich truth this single verse teaches?
These simple words highlight our Savior's humanity, deity, and lordship. He is our Wonderful Counselor, the source of all truth, He is the Mighty God, whose power brings order to the chaos of our world, He is the Everlasting Father, who laid the foundations of the earth, and He is the Prince of Peace, who grants grace to those who surrender to Him in faith. (I was reminded of these things this week while reading a note from a friend who recently read a web page by John MacArthur.) This is a great time of year to reconnect with old friends, and to meditate on the truths that can be found in the bible.
May your heart be lifted in praise this Christmas for the wonderful gift of Jesus and the joy and peace He brings to our lives. Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!
