The decision to postpone or cancel events was taken out of an abundance of caution in an effort to ensure the well-being and safety of our members, volunteers and participants in the face of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus. We believe it is better to be proactive than reactive. The decision comes following recommendations from City of Seattle and King County health professionals to avoid unnecessarily bringing large groups of people together. They stress that reducing the amount of face-to-face contact between people helps reduce the spread of infectious disease.

We are keeping open the possibility of re-scheduling some of the events once the health emergency has passed.

To receive accurate information from health professionals on the best way to fight the virus, follow the Public Health news and blog updates at kingcounty.gov.

Please do note, however, that St. Patrick's Day is not canceled! We hope that you will still don some green on March 17 and celebrate the day with family and friends in a way that's safe for everyone, whether in your favorite Irish pub or at home. Five Farms Irish Cream can maybe help in that situation, or celebrate by taking advantage of reduced fares being offered by Aer Lingus!

Beannachtai na Féile Pádraig!
We wish you the Blessings of  St. Patrick's Day!
