Your Southwestern District leadership has been very diligently working in preparation for the 2021 Fall Convention and Contest at the DFW Hyatt Regency. We have been excited about the prospect of seeing and singing with our barbershop family after our long COVID hiatus. We miss you.
Our first concern, though, is your health and safety. We have continually monitored developments with regards to the current COVID Delta Variant and have made the painful decision that it would be in everyone’s best interest if we do not hold a convention this year. Accordingly, the 2021 Fall SWD Convention is cancelled.
We hope to bring good news about our Spring Convention in San Antonio in May 2022. Until then stay safe, stay healthy, and stay hopeful.
For those of you who have purchased convention registrations, your costs will be credited back to your credit card as soon as we can get refunds processed. Not sure exactly how long that will take.
