We regret to inform you that the Legislative Appreciation Banquet scheduled for tomorrow, January 9, has been cancelled due to the current water issues in the City of Richmond. Though this decision is certainly not ideal, it is necessary to ensure the safety of our guests. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to the timing of this decision, our caterer had already begun preparing food for this event. We are keenly aware of the impact that this crisis may have on food availability across the Richmond Metro and are pleased to work with the Federation of Virginia Food Banks on a plan to safely donate to local area meal providers. We are greatly appreciative for their help in facilitating this donation and extend our gratitude to you for your part as your banquet sponsorship and ticket purchases made this food donation possible.

Please note the following:

• We will need to rely on you to make your guests aware of the cancellation as we do not have contact information for all attendees. We appreciate your help in this communication and are available for any assistance you may need.

• If you reserved a room at the Omni, they are aware of this change but will need you to call today to confirm your cancellation with no penalty.

• We are currently navigating this information and working diligently on all logistics related to the cancelation. We will be in touch regarding alternative scheduling as soon as we know more.

We are grateful for your support and partnership. We take pride in supporting agriculture and forestry in Virginia and providing a unified voice for you and this industry. Please know that in the next few weeks we will be on the ground during Session, diligently representing you to our legislators.
