USDA announced the approval of five more hemp production plans under the U.S. Domestic Hemp Production Program for the states of Washington and Wyoming and for the Otoe-Missouria Tribe, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the Santee Sioux Nation. USDA has now approved plans for a total of eight states and 10 tribes. USDA continues to receive and review hemp production plans from states and Indian tribes.
15 states have indicated they will continue to operate under the provisions of the 2014 Farm Bill rather than submit a hemp production plan for 2020.
