VIDEO SURVEILLANCE ACCESS - RESPONSE REQUIRED

The Division of Cannabis Control (“DCC” or “Division”) is working to update and streamline licensee reporting of video surveillance technical data to ensure Division access as required by rule.

Therefore, as a reminder, the Division is requiring your assistance to ensure your surveillance systems meet the standards issued by the DCC on February 9. If you haven’t done so already, you must provide all requested information on this form by March 9, 2024.

To review standards issued February 9, please click here. The Division is also providing a Frequently Asked Questions document, which you can find here.

REMINDER – EVENT ADVERTISING

The DCC is reminding licensees that plan to advertise at any events that the “Event Advertising & Participation Request” must be completed within the eLicense portal and approved by the Division. This form should be used when a licensee is requesting to participate in and/or sponsor an event. If completing the “Event Advertising & Participation Request” form, the licensee does not need to submit a separate advertising request – only one form is necessary.

Licensees must submit all advertising requests in the eLicense portal. Please be sure to provide complete and detailed information to help ensure a streamlined review. This includes photos of all event flyers and website links, as well as images of banners or other items the licensee plans to use to advertise event participation or while participating in the event.

The Division will review event advertising requests to ensure compliance with all Medical Marijuana Control Program advertising rules and requirements pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code (O.A.C.) 3796:5-7-01. Licensees are encouraged to submit event advertising requests in a timely manner to ensure sufficient time for Division review as well as licensee preparation upon approval.
