This webinar will assist workplace investigators and others in avoiding the pitfalls presented by federal and California laws regulating consumer reports and investigative consumer reports.  The alphabet soup of statutes is broad and complex.  Topics will include who/what exactly is a "Consumer Reporting Agency," what constitutes an "Investigative Consumer Report," a "Consumer Report," and a "Credit Report," and what steps need to be taken to comply with applicable statutes.  Integrating federal and California compliance, identifying exceptions from advance disclosure requirements and understanding the consequences of violations will also be discussed in this program on an area that is rarely the subject of a training program.  Our speaker is a well-known and experienced employment attorney and investigator. Presented by Pamela L. Hemminger, Esq., Law Offices of Pamela L. Hemminger.
