Join the CAP Federation for the Combined Federal Campaign and Raise More $$
We are placing special emphasis on registrations for the 2019 Combined Federal Campaign. If your unit has a high number of federal employees or is located near a military installation, it may be worth it for you to participate.

Applications will open in December and we are asking all units to sign up under the Civil Air Patrol federation/umbrella. This gives you access to more resources and allows you to solicit across state lines and in a broader geographic area.

Thank You to our Members...CAP Response Fund in Action
In response to member requests, we now now have the “CAP Response Fund,” created by our members for our members who need help in times of crisis. The fund is also open to squadrons in need of assistance during recovery. To date, members have raised more than $25,000 for assistance.
A recent CAP Response Fund recipient impacted in the California fires said this...
“It’s one thing to be involved in search and rescue and feel like you are a making a difference, it’s a whole other world when you are the one impacted and on the receiving end of such generosity.”
Introducing CAP's Newest National Staff Member
Major Lisa Myrick
Deputy Chief of Field Fundraising
We asked Major Myrick a few questions about her important new role... Here's what Major Myrick had to say.
Why did you join Civil Air Patrol?
I was a cadet a reaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyyy long time ago and rejoined when my son turned 14. He had heard all the stories about CAP and when we found out about the unit in Kona (HI) we were both all in.
What is your Civil Air Patrol unit?
I am currently assigned to the Wing as Vice Commander, but my heart will always be with the Kona Composite Squadron. It's where I cut my Senior Member teeth.
Why did you say YES! to serving as Deputy Chief of Field Fundraising?
I love seeing our members be successful and doing what they enjoy most. When the burden of finances are removed from the equation, we are free to focus on the mission of serving our communities well. Plus, I love the idea/challenge of building a program from the ground up - of being part of the change that will benefit everyone. Crazy, right?!
Anything else we haven’t asked that we should?
My youngest son recently transitioned from Cadet (6 years in the program and earned his Earhart) to Senior Member, prior to deploying with his Army National Guard unit this past August. Oh, and I like coffee and chocolate.
