Career Fair in Willard, North Carolina
CFMP members who are seeking employees are encouraged to reserve a space at this free event in Willard Outreach Community Center on September 7. You can set up inside or outside (with your own tent). To reserve a space, contact Rhonda Royster, at the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board.
Career & Leadership Development Academy
CFMP members will assist the Chamber's "Career and Leadership Development Academy" and NHCS by hosting facility tours for 60-65 seventh grade students in January, 2024. For more information contact Laura Brogdon-Primavera.
CWS Wilmington
CWS provides assimilation services to refugees and immigrants, (in this country legally). They have a roster of people ready, willing and able to work in our community. CFMP Camp
As part of the Cape Fear Career Academy program, offered by CFCC, West Pender Middle School, recently got a close-up look at the manufacturing and assembling process at Wilmington Grill, which makes high-end, heavy-duty outdoor grills. During the 30-minute tour, led by general manager Jon Barber, the group witnessed sheets of stainless steel being cut, stamped and smoothed in huge Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. CFCC offers free MS Excel Training
Cape Fear Community College, on behalf of the NCCCS Customized Training Program, will offer two levels of Excel training at the CFCC downtown campus in Union Station. For more information contact Jan Yokeley.
