Modern Machine Shop News - Blair HSM
Modern Machine Shop mentioned our own Jim Flock in an article describing how he has led the company's optimization efforts and dramatically reduced part production time. It explained how replacing hog milling with high speed machining on the company's three Niigata horizontal machines is saving $11,500 in tooling and 101 working days per year, while maintaining a tolerance of +/- 0.001 inch on the military aircraft parts manufactured at the facility. It also mentions how Jim is leading the CFMP's advocacy efforts regarding manufacturing careers in the Wilmington area.

Malcolm Ford, COO of PaperFoam Packaging USA, described the company's Leland expansion to 100,000 sq ft in the 6/23/23 article. He said, "We have infrastructure in place for over 102 machines. YogaSleep in New Building
Yogasleep recently relocated to a larger facility on Hwy. 421, Wilmington. Manufacturer of Sleep Sound Machines, they have been in “sleep” business for more than 60 years. Terry Hollingsworth, COO, and Cheryl Morlote, Senior Manager of People & Culture celebrated the grand opening of their state-of-the-art facility.
Rulmeca Group Acquires Douglas Mfg.
Paul Ross and Fabio Ghisalberti celebrated the key acquisition at the Douglas plant in Pell City, AL. “This deal will allow our customers in North America to access an enhanced portfolio of products and services,” said Mr. Ghisalberti. Click here.
