Illuminate Possibilities with Day of Giving

For the next 24 hours, beginning at noon today, Wednesday, March 20, you have the chance to illuminate possibilities on campus and make a difference in the lives of Capital University students!

For the second year, the entire University community – main campus, Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Law School, and Capital Athletics – will participate in the university-wide Day of Giving.

Day of Giving

Through noon tomorrow, Thursday, March 21, members of the Capital Family can make a gift to support the specific annual fund that personally means the most to them. You can also support Capital Athletics as they have identified key areas of support for their continued development in the OAC and beyond. Check out opportunities to support Capital Athletics here.

A gift during the Day of Giving means all Capital students – undergraduate and graduate – can have an unmatched student experience.

When donors support the areas of greatest need and top priorities, they support the bigger picture of the Capital student experience. The student experience is leadership, education, friendship, and community. It's unique to everyone, and it cannot continue without the support of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends like you!

Be the Spark with us! Go to www.capital.edu/dayofgiving and see how the community's collective impact can make a difference in continuing to form changemakers at Capital for generations to come.

For more information, contact Elinor Fortescue, director of Annual Giving Programs, at [email protected].

Summer Class Registration Open

Registration is now open for summer 2024 classes, and we invite you to consider the benefits of taking classes in the summer. In addition to in-person classes, this year we have a greater selection of online courses available, which provide you with the option to take classes from wherever you are. In addition to options in learning format, summer class offer:

  • Lower tuition. Summer tuition is substantially discounted, which represents a great savings to you!
  • Opportunities to get ahead, catch up on credit hours, repeat a class, or explore a new area of interest.
  • Grades earned in summer classes count toward your Capital GPA, while grades earned at other institutions do not. Focus on one or two classes to improve your GPA, improve your academic standing, or meet financial aid requirements.
  • An expanded list of online (synchronous and asynchronous) classes are available, especially Signature Learning UC classes.
  • For students who wish to take in-person math, science, and other courses on campus, you will experience a smaller class size, one-on-one support from faculty, and have access to Academic Success resources.
  • Courses are offered in 8-week and 16-week formats.

Summer semester begins on May 13. Summer II begins on July 1. For students interested in in-person science and math courses offered through the Summer Institute for Science and Math, sessions begin on May 20 and June 18.

Register for the Summer 2024 courses now on myCAP!
