EMPLOYEES: Changing Campus Culture Survey
Each year, Capital participates in the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Changing Campus Culture initiative, including this survey to gauge employee experiences on campus. This is completely voluntary and you can quit the survey at any time. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by Friday, April 29, 2022.

For support, employees who are three-quarter time or greater can utilize EAP benefits through Capital by visiting www.unum.com/lifebalance or by calling 1-800-854-1446. All employees can receive free emotional support through OPTUM by calling 1-866-342-6892 or visiting www.liveandworkwell.com. The OhioHealth Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio (SARNCO) also provides support for anyone; learn more by visiting https://www.ohiohealth.com/community-health/sarnco.

We deeply appreciate your willingness to help us better understand a critical aspect of the student experience.

Important Note / Trigger Warning: Some of the questions in this survey use specific language regarding behaviors related to unwanted sexual contact. We recognize that questions ask about personal and sexual information that might be emotionally difficult to answer. You may leave the survey at any time by simply clicking out of the window.

HR UPDATES
Summer Hours 2022

The end of a challenging yet successful academic year is fast approaching. Capital University recognizes that employees appreciate the opportunity to work an adjusted schedule in the summer. As an adaptation to Capital’s policy and as administered last year, our office hours will be adjusted for the summer to 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. daily. All employees will still be paid for their full work day. Summer hours will be in effect as follows:

Bexley Campus (excluding the Seminary)
Monday, May 9, through Friday, August 12

Trinity Lutheran Seminary and the Law School
Monday, May 23, through Friday, August 12

Scheduling needs may vary by department to continue to meet the needs across the university during the summer. A consistent level of campus safety, service to our students, and functionality of campus facilities must be maintained, so supervisors should coordinate staff scheduling with the appropriate vice president to ensure their constituencies are well served.

In addition, the guidelines established in our Remote Work Arrangement Policy remain in effect. Download the policy here.

Thank you for your continued hard work and service to Capital University!
