San Bernardino, CA (November 26, 2025) — Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAPSBC) proudly announces the successful completion of its annual holiday turkey distribution, providing 4,360 turkeys along with 25-pound boxes of holiday food items and baking boxes. Each box included essentials such as apple pie, butter, eggs, and cheese, ensuring families could enjoy a complete holiday meal.
This year, CAPSBC hosted three major distribution events in Joshua Tree, Adelanto, and San Bernardino, serving 1,650 households totaling 7,248 individuals. In addition to these events, CAPSBC provided turkeys and holiday food boxes to active military families at Fort Irwin and the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Barstow and partnered with local organizations to distribute turkeys and food boxes at their community events.
CAPSBC's efforts were bolstered by generous community support, including a $2,500 donation from Senator Eloise Gomez Reyes and Golden State Water to assist with the San Bernardino event. AES Clean Energy also provided a $15,022 donation to support CAPSBC food distributions in the City of Adelanto, including sponsoring fresh pies for families.
CAPSBC partnered with San Bernardino County Human Services Department and the County Administration Office for their annual Holiday Virtual Food Drive, which raised $20,492 to help cover turkey costs. Since 2015, they have raised over $100,000 through holiday drives, enabling CAPSBC to procure thousands of turkeys and essential food items for families in need.
"We are truly honored to have such compassionate partners like San Bernardino County by our side. The holidays are a time for hope and togetherness, and no family should have to worry about where their next meal will come from," said Patricia Nickols-Butler, President & CEO of CAPSBC. "Thanks to the incredible support from our partners, volunteers, and donors, we were able to provide thousands of families with a holiday meal and essential resources. This is what community looks like—coming together to lift each other up."
