The CARES Act - possible provisions for churches

The CARES Act, the $2 trillion package passed by Congress on Friday that provides much needed economic relief, has provisions that impact churches.

While guidelines are still being developed by the Small Business Association (SBA) and the Treasury, it appears that it may be possible that some parishes could benefit. Many have found the information available here from Horizons Stewardship to be useful as they consider whether this legislation might benefit their parishes.

Also, the Small Business Association and the U.S. Chamber of Congress are helpful sources once additional guidelines have been developed. The Chamber of Congress made available yesterday a helpful Guide for Small Businesses and Nonprofits on the CARES Act. As more resources become available we will share them with you.
