The Senate Environmental Quality Committee heard and passed one of CASA's top priority bills, AB 574 (Quirk), on July 5. The bill's next hearing is July 11 before the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee.

Feinstein Joins Others to Sponsor Water Conservation Bill
Weighing in on CalRecycle Study
CalRecycle plans to conduct a statewide waste characterization study in 2018. We recently submitted comments on the proposed study that will focus on materials destined for landfill disposal. Specifically, for SB 1383 compliance, we urge CalRecycle to include biosolids in their 2014 baseline data and the 2018 study. Read more about the
