Did You Know?
As the country mourns the death of President George Bush, we remember that 28 years ago, he recognized Child Advocates (then called Court Designated Child Advocates of San Jose), as the 260 th “Daily Point of Light” for our outstanding work with children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

President Bush created the Daily Point of Light Award  to celebrate the power of individuals, alone and working together, to spark change and improve the world. Read his letter and an archived article from the Mercury News.

Your Support
Changes Lives!
We believe that every foster child deserves to have a consistent, caring adult in their life--someone to listen to their concerns and nurture their hopes and dreams.

That's what Jon-Rey's CASA volunteer Moe Rubzenzahl did for him.

Your gift can help us provide a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to provide critical emotional and educational support to a foster child, and ensure that their needs are met and their voice is heard while they are in the dependency system. Thank you!

All donations will be matched up to $50,000!
News
Stories from the Work: Cassandra and Angela
8-year-old Angela entered foster care after her father sexually abused her. Angela’s mother blamed her for the breakup of their family. With the pain of physical and emotional abuse, Angela suffered from low self-esteem and had trust issues.

That’s when Cassandra became Angela’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She saw a bright child who needed positive reinforcement to break the cycle of negativity that plagued her life.
48 children are coming off our waitlist!
Thanks to our generous donors and our board match, we raised more than $48,000 on #GivingTuesday surpassing our goal of $30,000!

This means we will be able to provide 48 additional Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to serve 48 foster children on our waitlist!
