There's Still Time to Make a Difference!
Happy New Year! Our Annual Holiday Campaign wraps up next week and your participation has been amazing!

Thanks so everyone who "shared their heart" with us. We posted dozens of your heartfelt messages about why you give or why you volunteer on our social media pages.

If you haven't made a donation, there's still time give and help us reach our goal.

If you made a donation - thank you! If you or your spouse has an Employee Matching Gift program, click here to see if your company will match your gift.

You can also help Child Advocates by voting for our photo of CASA volunteer Moe Rubenzahl and foster child Jon-Rey, which we featured in our Holiday Campaign. Voting is easy and can be done once a day through Jan. 11th. Your vote will help us win cash prizes and publicity!

Virtual Reality Project Places Users in the Shoes of a Foster Child
Child Advocates has been collaborating with a virtual reality company to create "A Walk in their shoes," VR experience that places users in the shoes of a child in the foster care system.

The project is being funded by a grant from The David and Lucile Packard and Heising-Simons Foundations as a creative way to engage donors and volunteers.

Community
You Came Through!
In early December, we asked for your help gathering new, unwrapped holiday toys for children in foster care. Dozens of companies, schools, and kind-hearted people donated hundreds of gifts.

Our foster children had a blast coming to our "CASA Village" and picking out their toys and other gifts.
January is National Mentoring Month
In honor of National Mentoring Month, Child Advocates is proud to be a part of South Bay Mentoring Coalition's Mentoring Event! Come join us, January 30th from 5pm - 6:30pm at The Isaac Newton Senter Auditorium, 70 W. Hedding St. San Jose, CA 95110. Nonprofits from around the South Bay will be there to share their message on the positive impact that mentoring can have in the community.

Our CASA program is part of a national network of nearly 950 community-based programs across the country that recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to act as advocates and mentors for the best interest of abused and neglected children and teens.

With your help, we will serve about 1,000 foster children with a CASA this year - thank you!
