One Fact You Need to Know:
of CASAs have engaged their foster child in healthy eating habits and physical activities that encourage an active lifestyle.
How CASAs Change Lives
Mayra was a young teen when she was placed in foster care after her father went to prison and her mother's boyfriend abused her. Mayra credits her Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for saving her life and giving her hope.

“Denise taught me that I had a voice, and that my voice mattered, that I am somebody. And now I go about my every day, confident.”

Tool Help Foster Children Develop Resilience
Despite overwhelming circumstances, many foster youth successfully manage to get ahead. What personal characteristics make this possible, and how can we all create environments that support these youth?

One former foster youth has created an innovative tool for professionals in the child welfare system through his online course, Fostering Resilience.
Get Ready for #GivingTuesday
On November 28th, Child Advocates will participate in Giving Tuesday, a philanthropic day of giving to benefit nonprofits. We'll share inspiring stories throughout the day featuring foster children who have benefited from having a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).

Our goal is to raise $30,000. Our board of directors has generously offered to match all donations made on November 28th up to $15,000. That means your gift will go twice as far! We hope you will consider making a gift to support the foster children we serve. Thank you!
