Foster Youth Gets A Home of His Own
At 18, an adoption like Carson’s is rare. According to the California CASA Association, statewide, only 15 of 12,025 adults (up to age 22) in foster care were adopted last year in California. That is one of the many reasons that CASAs are so important in foster children's lives. We're so happy for Carson and his new family!
Foster Youth Receive Donated Backpacks
Kudos to the Muslim American Society for donating 75 backpacks filled with school supplies to Child Advocates. The backpacks were dropped off during the Society’s 10th annual Back-to-School Backpack Project. Read the story.
