Cyber criminals using COVID-19 as the subject for scams
|

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) warns individuals to remain vigilant for scams related to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Cyber actors may send emails with malicious attachments or links to fraudulent websites to trick victims into revealing sensitive information or donating to fraudulent charities or causes. Exercise caution in handling any email with a COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink, and be wary of social media pleas, texts, or calls related to COVID-19.
It is also important to remember that all CASAs should be using their assigned advocate email account for all CASA related communications.

Several colleges are transitioning to online classes and closing dorms due to COVID-19 health concerns. Counties must support Non-Minor Dependent youth and ensure they have the resources needed to remain supported while they are out of school and to assist with ensuring that they are able to return to their campuses if they need to leave.
iFoster
is currently offering technology access to foster youth ages 13-24, which include: free, unlimited high-speed data hotspots, headsets, and laptops to assist in taking online classes.

Youth Writing Contest: The Chronicle for Social Change
Writing contest specifically for youth ages 18-26 with experience in the foster care or juvenile justice systems, located anywhere in the United States. Winners will have the opportunity to have their essays published in The Chronicle of Social Change as well as our print magazine, Fostering Families Today. The grand prize winner will receive $250 cash, one runner up will get $100 cash, and 3 finalists will each receive a $50 gift card. For more info click
