CASA VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATE IN F1 OPENING CEREMONY

On Saturday, November 22, 60 CASA volunteers with the Eighth Judicial District Court CASA program participated in the opening ceremony with Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix to unfurl the American flag. This was a recognition of our volunteers and an honor to represent the CASA program and Las Vegas community. Thank you F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix for including CASA volunteers in the Las Vegas race! The Las Vegas Formula One Grand Prix is a motor racing event that forms part of the Formula One World Championship.

CASA CONNECTIONS CENTER: Where Hope Lives

Huge congratulations go out to the Champions for CASA on the grand opening of their new Connections Center specially designed to welcome CASA volunteers and the children for whom they advocate. This is an amazing center that will have a huge positive impact! The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on November 19th and included several Judges, community partners, Champions for CASA Board Members, CASA staff and CASA volunteers.

CASA LICENSE PLATES ARE HERE

CASA license plates are now available for purchase. With the purchase of every plate $25 is donated to Nevada CASA Association. This purchase allows Nevada CASA Association to continue its work across the state to support each of the local programs and their volunteers.

Become a CASA Volunteer!

Are you interested in becoming a CASA volunteer? Maybe you know someone who would be a terrific child advocate. Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers are assigned by the Judge to advocate for the best interest of a child in foster care. Free informational meetings are scheduled (virtually) four times every month.
