Free Workshop

Integrating Gender-Affirming Care Concepts Across Nursing Curriculum

**offert en anglais seulement**

This workshop explores practical approaches to scaffolding gender-affirming care concepts throughout undergraduate nursing education. Building on inclusive language, we will discuss how educators can integrate content on social and medical transition, gender-affirming medications, surgical care, fertility, health assessment, mental health, and advocacy into existing courses such as health assessment, medical-surgical nursing, and pharmacology, rather than treating gender affirming care as a stand-alone topic. Participants will leave with foundational concepts, practical strategies, and teaching resources to support this work in their own contexts. The session is intended for nurse educators, curriculum developers, and academic leaders seeking to strengthen nursing education on transgender health.
