Webinar series: The nurse’s role in sexual health, reproductive care and abortion care
The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN), as a partner of the University of British Columbia – Contraception and Abortion Research Team, delivered three webinars on abortion care in nursing education. The aim of these presentation was to support the use of the Entry-to-Practice Abortion Care Competencies for Undergraduate Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Education in Canada by nurse educators and to disseminate information and approaches on improving access to abortion care and removing barriers for under-served populations.

Série de webinaires : Le rôle des infirmières et infirmiers en matière de santé sexuelle, de soins reproductifs et de soins liés à l’avortement
L’Association canadienne des écoles de sciences infirmières (ACESI), dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec l’équipe de projet du Groupe de recherche sur l’avortement et la contraception (GRAC) de la University of British Columbia, a offert trois webinaires sur les soins liés à l’avortement dans la formation en sciences infirmières. Ces présentations avaient deux objectifs, soit d’encourager les infirmières et infirmiers enseignants à utiliser les Compétences en matière de soins d’avortement pour accéder à la pratique : formation en sciences infirmières de premier cycle et formation des infirmières et infirmiers praticiens au Canada et de diffuser des renseignements à cet égard, particulièrement concernant l’amélioration de l’accès aux soins d’avortement et l’élimination d’obstacles pour les populations insuffisamment desservies.

We're hiring: Nurse Educator Certificate Program Instructor
The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) has two open positions for instructors of Modules 1, 2, and 3 of the Canadian Nurse Educators Institute’s Nurse Educator Certificate Program. The instructors, in collaboration with the current instructors, will conduct live sessions, grade assignments and maintain currency of the module materials. The instructor will work remotely as the program is delivered online. This is a one-year paid contract (September 2025 to June 2026) with the possibility of renewal.

Nous embauchons : Enseignante ou enseignant dans le cadre du Programme menant à un certificat pour infirmières et infirmiers enseignants
L’Association canadienne des écoles de sciences infirmières (ACESI) cherche à pourvoir deux postes d’enseignante ou enseignant pour les Modules 1, 2 et 3 du Programme menant à un certificat pour infirmières et infirmiers enseignants de l’Institut canadien des infirmières et infirmiers enseignants. Les personnes sélectionnées travailleront en collaboration avec les enseignantes et enseignants actuels pour diriger des séances en direct, noter les devoirs et maintenir à jour le matériel du module. Comme le programme est offert en ligne, ces personnes travailleront à distance. Les enseignantes ou enseignants sélectionnés seront rémunérés et effectueront leurs tâches dans le cadre d’un contrat d’un an (de septembre 2025 à juin 2026), avec possibilité de renouvellement.

Ce livre en français sur la formation en sciences infirmières, rédigé par des chefs de file du domaine de la formation infirmière de partout à travers le Canada, a été conçu conjointement par l’ACESI et le Centre d’innovation en formation infirmière et apprentissage professionnel (CIFI-AP) de la Faculté des sciences infirmières de l’Université de Montréal. Il s’adresse à tous les enseignant.es, professeur.es et gestionnaires académiques du baccalauréat et des cycles supérieurs. Il vise à fournir aux lecteurs une occasion propice à la réflexion et à formulation de sa propre définition de l’apprentissage et de la formation infirmière. Il vise également à fournir des approches, théoriques et pratiques, pour une formation universitaire de qualité, c’est-à-dire qui prépare les infirmiers et infirmières à l’exercice efficace de leur profession dans leur rôle spécifique ancré dans leur discipline. Ce livre ne cherche pas à couvrir l’ensemble des sujets du domaine de la formation infirmière, mais il s’attarde à des thèmes saillants et prioritaires et il laisse place aux innovations dans les différents environnements d’apprentissage.

Comprehensive Systematic Review Training | In-person (Queen's University campus) | July 14-18 Registration is open!
The Queen's Collaboration for Health Care Quality offers a Comprehensive Systematic Review Training (CSRT) featuring the JBI methodology for evidence synthesis. This five-day, in-person workshop (9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST daily) is designed to prepare health sciences researchers, clinicians, librarians, graduate students, and others involved in quality improvement and practice portfolios to develop, conduct, and report systematic reviews of evidence. The hands-on, activity-based program emphasizes rigorous methods and tools for appraising and synthesizing evidence from research literature and documentary sources. Participants will gain practical experience in drafting a systematic review protocol, including formulating the research question and conducting the search, retrieval, and selection of relevant studies. They will also learn to critically analyze quantitative and qualitative research, as well as expert opinion papers, as part of the review process. Additionally, participants will be introduced to JBI SUMARI software for performing meta-analyses and meta-syntheses of selected studies.
