At Nursing the Future, we strive to be your resource for all things related to new graduate professional role transition! We are delighted to share the details of our NTFLive strategy, a synchronous online seminar series where we CONNECT audiences of students, new graduates, supporters, educators and leaders. For example, in December, we hosted a session for Francophone students and new graduates preparing to take the NCLEX. In January, we were honoured to host Optimizing Workplace Mental Health for Nurses, a panel presentation with CFNU president Linda Silas, and occupational health research experts Dr. Nicholas Carleton (University of Regina) and Dr. Margaret McKinnon (McMaster University), as well as Rebecca Titus, the New Graduate Liaison for the Canadian Nurses Students Association (CNSA). See our website (https://nursingthefuture.ca/ntf-live/) for session recordings on topics that might interest you!
NTFLive sessions are member-interest driven, so if you have a particular topic of interest, let us know at https://nursingthefuture.ca/ntf-live/. Upcoming sessions will focus on attrition, retention, resilience-building and more. We use our website, social media and newsletters to share upcoming events so we encourage you to subscribe and follow us at https://nursingthefuture.ca!
As always, we remain committed to supporting new graduate nurses and their supporters through grassroots initiatives. Help us do so by staying connected! As a body of nursing experts, your participation is very important to us. We would love to hear from you about what we can do to meet your needs or those of the students/new graduates you work with. As well, please like and share our social media and let your colleagues know who we are.
