Greetings CASP,
Welcome to 2024! We hope everyone is feeling re-energized from winter break and ready to tackle this winter quarter. The new year is a time of excitement and open doors. There's a lot to get into at the start of the new year but don't stress too much! Make time for self-care so you can better meet all those goals you've set for yourself. In the meantime we've got a lot of opportunities and events for you to cruise through in this newsletter so make sure to check it all out!
In this newsletter, you'll find information regarding CASP events, UCSD opportunities, and resources available around the corner so make sure to read for more details!
Our physical office space is open for students! Come by and say hello to our new office located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall (through Door E & F). We have free printing, a dry kitchen, and a study space open Mon - Fri from 9 am - 5 pm.

Cross Cultural Center
The Coming Out group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender Identities in a confidential setting. This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight, or questioning folks who are coming out, considering coming out or may already be out. Topics are determined by group participants and can include stress, fear, anxiety, loneliness, family/cultural issues, excitement and celebration with regard to coming out. Coming out is an ongoing process in life for the LGBTQ+ community, all are welcome.

Are you questioning your gender? Do you need a space to discuss your gender identity with others who may be going through the same thing? This group allows students to explore their thoughts and feelings related to their gender identity. Join this group to build community, share experiences, and get support while navigating the world outside the gender binary. No matter where you are on the gender spectrum, you are welcome here!

Third Cohort of the Education Trust Justice Fellows Policy Program Application Open! | |
The application for the third cohort of the Education Trust Justice Fellows Policy Program is now open! The program centers on the lived experiences of formerly incarcerated individuals who have leveraged higher education against the residual consequences of incarceration, by elevating their voices in policy debates about improving higher education for all justice-impacted people in the United States. | |
