Greetings CASP,


This past month was full of transitions and change. Our inaugural CASP Director and the very first CASP staff member, Dr. Belinda Zamacona, has transitioned into a new position with the Office of VC - EDI. We are so grateful for all of the time, effort, and dedication Dr. Zamacona has put into creating CASP and helping support our scholars in their triton journey. You will forever be part of the CASP family <3


The rest of the CASP team is hard at work and available to meet online or offline. If you need someone to check in with or if you have any questions, please click here to find our contact information.


Our physical office space is open for students! Come by and say hello to our new office located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall (through Door E & F). We have free printing, a dry kitchen, and a study space open Mon - Fri from 9 am - 5 pm.

Or did a student org you’re involved with get acknowledged for something special? 22nd Annual César E. Chávez Celebration

UC San Diego celebrates the 22nd annual César E. Chávez month-long celebration and will kick off the celebration on Thursday, April 6th. This year's theme "Recordando y Progresando Raices; Remembering and Progressing our Roots" highlights a series of events and opportunities for the campus and the community. UC San Diego's César E. Chávez Kickoff Celebration includes awards honoring individuals for furthering Chávez’s ideals in their communities. Award nominations are now open, and you can nominate an individual, or yourself here: https://forms.gle/HKSMFeYJMChPcA7VA. You can read about last year’s awards recipients hereNominations will close on February 17th at 11:59 p.m.
