Greetings CASP,


Happy March! Power through the last few weeks of the Winter Quarter and enjoy a nice relaxing break before the new quarter begins. All of us on the CASP team are cheering you on and are here to support you through it all. Come into the office for a nice study spot to prepare for your remaining midterms and finals. Below we have also listed some awesome activities and opportunities throughout the month to help you take some stress off or get pumped about the future. You got this!

Our physical office space is open for students! Come by and say hello to our new office located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall (through Door E & F). We have free printing, a dry kitchen, and a study space open Mon - Fri from 9 am - 5 pm.

UC-HSI Summer Internship Application

The UC-HSI DDI Funded Biomedical Information Summer Internship Program aims to train qualified undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who have an interest in Data Science and Biomedical Informatics. The program will include hands-on research experience, career development, and faculty mentorship. As well as instruction in data analysis software such as R and Python. This is a paid internship, with an approximately $5,500 stipend for the 8-week summer internship program. Apply by March 7th.

Kyoto Prize Symposium

You're invited to attend San Diego’s Kyoto Prize Symposium taking place this month from March 13th to March 14th! The symposium provides an opportunity to learn about the achievements of the annual Kyoto Prize Laureates and to discuss the relationship between their accomplishments and the common quest for peace and harmony in our world. Cross Cultural Center


The Coming Out group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender Identities in a confidential setting. This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight, or questioning folks who are coming out, considering coming out or may already be out. Topics are determined by group participants and can include stress, fear, anxiety, loneliness, family/cultural issues, excitement and celebration with regard to coming out. Coming out is an ongoing process in life for the LGBTQ+ community, all are welcome.
