Greetings CASP,

Happy November! Power through the last few weeks of Fall Quarter and enjoy a nice relaxing break this holiday season. All of us on the CASP team are cheering you on and are here to support you! Come into our office for a nice study spot to prepare for your midterms or just to relax and enjoy some yummy snacks. Below we have listed some awesome activities and updates. Good luck on your midterms!

In this newsletter, you will find information regarding upcoming CASP events, CASP requirements, fall quarter events, and deadlines. Please read through to learn more about these opportunities!

We are open! Come by and say hello to our new office located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall (through Door E & F). We have free printing, a dry kitchen, and a study space open Mon - Fri from 9 am - 5 pm.

Come out to Colleges @ CASP to get 1 on 1 advising with an academic advisor. This is a great chance to plan out your classes to help you stay on track for graduation. To the 2023 and 2024 cohort, this event is a great opportunity to help satisfy one of your CASP scholarship requirements! Sign up using the link above.

With the upcoming US election in November, the Restorative Justice Committee, Center for Student Involvement (CSI), and the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) are partnering to create discussion spaces for student voices. These spaces will be offered virtually and in-person and are designed for students to listen and learn from one another in a meaningful way.

The 25th Annual UC San Diego Veterans Staff Association, Veteran Recognition Ceremony will take place on November 7th to honor our veterans and members of the Armed Forces. The event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served immediately following the celebration. The theme of this year's ceremony is "Be the One: Supporting Veterans Mental Health - Ask, Listen, Reach Out."

Join us for dinner, trivia, and games at the SVRC! With a mix of UCSD, military, and general trivia, everyone's got a chance at winning! There will be four rounds, each winner will recieve a $20 Triton Cash Card. The final round will be played amongst the winners to determine who gets ONE MORE $20 Gift Card!

Join UCSD's BioSci events about Career & Professional Development Workshops plus Remote Career Path Discussions this Fall quarter! A drop-in space for military-connected undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in building community and developing self-improvement tools in a mutually supportive and collaborative environment. Participants will benefit from both peer wisdom/support and information from facilitator Dr. Michael McGlenn. No RSVP required.

The Queer Community Connections group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender identities in a confidential setting. Topics are determined by group participants and can include queer joy, life stressors, sociopolitical climate, family/cultural issues, etc.

Are you questioning your gender? Do you need a space to discuss your gender? Do you need a space to discuss your gender identity with others who may be going through the same thing? This group allows students to explore their thoughts and feelings related to their identity. Join this group to build community, share experiences, and get support while navigating the world outside the gender binary!

We are happy to announce that Price Center has expanded its hours to provide students with more options for late-night studying. Price Center East (Levels 1 & 2) and Burger King will now be open 24 hours Monday through Thursday and Open Desk and Sun God Lounge will now be open until 2am Monday through Thursday.

Tritons Connect is open to all students, alumni, staff/faculty, and the UC San Diego community. Join us to connect 1:1 or in groups, post and apply for job opportunities, get matched with or be a mentor, and so much more. Signing up is easy!
