Greetings CASP,

Welcome back! We are so happy get to a chance to see and (re)connect with our scholar at our CASP Academic Year Kickoff. We hope you had a smooth start to the fall quarter and are ready to make this year one to remember! The CASP team is working on putting together some fun events for our scholars, so make sure to check your emails and follow us on social media!

In this newsletter, you'll find information regarding CASP events, UCSD opportunities, and resources available around the corner so make sure to read for more details!

Our physical office space is open for students! Come by and say hello to our new office located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall (through Door E & F). We have free printing, a dry kitchen, and a study space open Mon - Fri from 9 am - 5 pm.

Join us on campus for a free fun mix of surprising experiences and Homecoming favorites, including the Triton Tailgate Concert, Triton Athletics, Triton 5K – and lots more! Parents and families are invited. 

This October, all are invited to commemorate Latinx Heritage Month at UC San Diego through a series of events that honor the history, culture and contributions of the Latinx community. Programs range from the 3rd Annual Drag Loteria to a series of film screenings presented at UC San Diego Park & Market.

On Oct. 25, award-winning director and producer Kat Lazo will be visiting campus to share a special keynote presentation as part of UC San Diego’s Latinx Heritage Month commemoration event. Get tickets and learn more about the university’s celebration.

Celebrate the 20^th Anniversary Season of ArtPower at UC San Diego by attending a performance for FREE. Experience global music, jazz, dance, holiday performances and other special events. Season highlights include performances by UC San Diego alumna Em Beihold (‘20), Nochebuena I A Christmas Spectacular, Drag Me to the Amphitheater, and the Epstein Family Amphitheater’s first birthday party with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.

Tritons Connect is open to all students, alumni, staff/faculty, and the UC San Diego community. Join us to connect 1:1 or in groups, post and apply for job opportunities, get matched with or be a mentor, and so much more. Signing up is easy!

Epstein Family Amphitheater hosts a Farmers Market event every Tuesday from 10am - 2pm, starting October 3rd
