Congratulations STNYC '18 Summer Intensive Graduates!
With your intelligence, dedication and creativity you have made it possible to launch an exciting new program for high school students to explore career pathways in the music industry and promote gender equity. I look forward to seeing you during the school year at our upcoming workshops and events.

Established as part of a series of initiatives targeting the under-representation of women in entertainment, Sound Thinking NYC is a free program offered by the Creative Arts Team (CAT) at the City University of New York (CUNY) and the  The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) , in partnership with NY Is Music , a coalition of music industry leaders.
 
Sound Thinking would not be possible without our amazing cohort members and families, as well as our growing list of partnerships: The ASCAP Foundation, Big Mouth Entertainment, BRIC Arts Media, CUNY K-16 Initiatives, Downtown Music Studios, Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College, Flavorlab, Gender Amplified, MONOLisa Studios, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem, OkayPlayer & OkayAfrica.com, Platinum Sound Recording Studios, Revive Music Group, Songtrust, Sunnyvale, Women in Music (WIM) and YouTube & Google Play Music . 2nd Annual MY NYC SONG Teen Songwriting Contest
