Small Business Week: Celebrating California's Entrepreneurs.
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, approximately half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year. This year's National Small Business Week is observed from April 30 to May 6 to recognize the big contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners. The Employment Development Department (EDD) recognizes the great impact of small businesses on California's economy and local communities, and celebrates their contributions to the State of California.
