June 4 - YAK Boat Trip
Saturday, June 4 we will meet at Jeff Conner's house at 9:00 a.m. and head to Lake LBJ for a day on the lake. Bring your own lunch and clothes to change into for when we stop at The Bluebonnet Cafe for pie!
June 4 - First Saturday Serve
Don't forget to find some way to serve our community during the first week of the month. We are still looking for a few volunteers for Sports Camp next week if you would like to serve.
June 6 - Women's Bible Study in Smithville
Join us on Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We will be going through Kelly Minter's study called Encountering God.
June 6-10 - Sports Camp
Don't forget to register for Sports Camp. This is a free camp for kids 4 years old - 6th grade. June 6 - 10 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
June 8 - No Wednesday Night Activities
There will be no Wednesday Night Activities on June 8 at both the Bastrop and Smithville Campuses.
June 10 - Senior Adult Lunch
Our Senior June Lunch will be at Granny's in Lexington on Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m. They are located at 728 S. Rockdale, their phone is 979-773-9463. Given the price of gas, I'm suggesting that we rideshare. Meet at CBC in Bastrop or Smithville at 10 am, planning to start to Lexington at 10:15. June 11 - Feed the Need Missions Conference
Join us for our First Annual Feed the Need Conference! This is a one-day free event that features workshops, lunch from Chick-Fil-A, and of course some fun along the way. 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at River Valley Christian Fellowship Church. Register here.
June 12 - Family Picnic
Join us for our annual free family picnic at Lake Bastrop North Shore Sunday, June 12 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided and will be served at 5:30 p.m. Bring your own drinks.
June 12 - Viewing Services Online
Starting June 12, we will live stream on Sunday mornings to ONLY YouTube.
June 26 - What's the 411
Vision and Mission are of little value without the basic tools needed to engage in the building of God’s kingdom. In this seminar, we will cover the 411 - the basic information needed to get started. 411 stands for, four questions, on one sheet of paper, in about one hour. Join us from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at our Bastrop Campus. Register here.
Recommendation for Church Membership
The Church Council is recommending Tonya Litton, Ernest and Rebecca West, Nicole Antonini, Adam and Kasie Stagman, and Lela Derr for membership at Calvary Baptist Church. If you have concerns about this recommendation, please contact the Church Council. Members of the CBC Church Council are Jim Jordan, David Redd, and Ross Winton.
Children's Camp Fundraiser
We have been able to raise enough scholarships for 18 kids to go to camp. We are in need of 11 more scholarships to help get all the children to camp. Each scholarship is $300. Please see Pastor Derek if you are able to help in this area.
Wednesday Bible Study
